Deployment with Kubernetes
Please refer to the standard K8s installation documentation for information regarding the general prerequisites for running USU apps on Kubernetes infrastructure.
USU Service Management deployment architecture
Possible configuration options:
Fully integrated deployment within a K8S cluster, where all applications communicate with each other via HTTP using internal URLs.
Relational database running outside the cluster, where all applications communicate with each other via HTTP using internal URLs, and the communication to the database server is via the external URL.
The USU Service Management application server is running outside the cluster, and all applications running in the cluster communicate with USU Service Management via the external URL and HTTPS. Applications running in the cluster communicate with each other via HTTP using internal URLs.
